Most of my finished and unfinished tunes are listed below in ordered of date (latest ones at the top). The earlier ones at the bottom were created in a program called Fasttracker 2 (or FT2 for short). To hear them you'll need something that can play XMs, such as XMplay. The rest, under the MP3s section, are all MP3s - which I'm sure you'll have a player for already :)
Enjoy. (or not, as the case may be)

STATUS | DATE | Comments |
| cheesy.mp3 | Eurodance, ghey | Finished | July 2006 | The clue is in the filename. Kinda eurovisiony, but much, much worse. |
| rawky.mp3 | Rock | Finished | June 2006 | Pretty much straight-ahead rock. Never really messed around with drop-D tunings much, so here we are. |
| kenny.mp3 | Game cover | Finished | May 2006 | A cover of my favourite theme from Street Fighter II - Ken's theme. |
| plippywhippy.mp3 | Twee, electro | Finished | April 2006 | Actually, not too disimilar to the previous tune. A slight funky edge, but ultimately has retro written all over it :) |
| spunkywunky.mp3 | Funk, rock | Finished | April 2006 | High time I did some funk - and here it is, along with some cheesy guitar widdling crowbarred in. Quite happy with my fake Hammond playing in this. |
| fuzzy.mp3 | 90s pop | Finished | March 2006 | Kinda boybandish, with synth leads instead of boys. |
| ipanemy.mp3 | Cover, muzak | Finished | Feburary 2006 | Um, heh :) |
| wooty7.mp3 | Orchestral, bombastic | Finished | Feburary 2006 | Media Ventures-esque (ie. over-compressed ;] ) chase/action film cue. |
| floaty.mp3 | Orchestral, filmy | Finished | January 2006 | Short romantic film cue. Didn't record with a click on this one - I read somewhere you can get more 'expression' that way (or something). Anyway, that's just my excuse if you hear anything that seems out of time ;) |
| whippy2.mp3 | Solo, clean guitar | Finished | December 2005 | Clean, solo guitar. Duff note central. |
| sneeky.mp3 | Funk, electro | In progress | November 2005 | A trial song using the Trilogy bass plugin. The bass/drums are certainly sounding nice and groovy, I just can't think of any melody line to go with it. Maybe some mad jazz improv on the keyboard. I'll need to find someone who can do that, mind (coz I sure as hell can't). Up for download in it's unfinished state for the time being - until I can think of something to add, anyway. |
| termy.mp3 | Film theme, cover | Finished | October 2005 | The Terminator 2 theme, with guitars. |
| celty.mp3 | Celtic, folk | Finished | October 2005 | Something I've never really tried before - Folk. Came out sounding like The Corrs in parts, and muzak in others. |
| moogy2.mp3 | Funky, drunk cat | Finished | July 2005 | Another one utilizing Minimoog V. This time with a funky bassline with added feline singing. Or something. |
| moogy.mp3 | Synthpop | Finished | July 2005 | Having recently heard about Bob Moog's recent condition, I was sparked into a sudden Minimoog-writing frenzy, realising that I hadn't actually used the Minimoog plugin for anything yet. Every sound in this is from the Minimoog plugin, apart from the kick drum. |
| symphy3.mp3 | Prog/Symphonic Metal | Unfinished | June 2005 | Raaawwwwk! In a kind of symphonic way. Loads of Nightwish-inspired-stuffage on here. Although, I have a feeling I've cut it too short... not sure what to follow the ending up with now. The ending sounds kinda... final :\ Damn endings. |

2005 |
Erm,
yes, well.. I'm a nostalgic y'see? Thanks to QuadraSID I can now step
back in time and sound like a C64. Woo! Unfortunately, I was lacking
slightly in inspiration at the time, so I ended up just C64-izing
some random 80s pop pap. |
|
| chordy2.mp3 | Solo piano | Finished | April 2005 | Was noodling on the piano and came up with a nice little chord progression. I resisted the temptation to go all full orchestra with it and just kept it solo piano with a few subtle strings. |
| herbalgroove.mp3 | Jazz, Lounge | Finished | April 2005 | Smoothy jazz, recorded whilst under the influence. Cleaned up and mastered the next morning, complete with a hangover. |
| willy2.mp3 | Orchestral, Film | Unfinished | March 2005 | I was attempting some sort of John Williams type thing, and this was the result. It's probably not as Williamsy as I would like (so far), more sort of westerny at the moment. Still, my first track with a tuba in it anyway. Tubas rock. |
| spyish.mp3 | Underscore | Unfinished | March 2005 | A short Metal Gear Solid-ish underscore thing. |
| beaty2.mp3 | Orchestral, Film | Finished | Feburary 2005 | A big dramatic filmic intro, utilizing Stylus RMX. I love this kinda stuff. Mark Mancina's my hero :) |
| luvvy.mp3 | Orchestral, Film | Unfinished | Feburary 2005 | Short, luvvy music. Inspired by the music in Finding Neverland. |
| happystrings.mp3 | String quartet | Finished | January 2005 | Spent 20 mins with a new bit of software called Synful Orchestra and came up with this. Tis a bit messy, really. |
| teamy2.mp3 | Orchestral Cover | Finished | December 2004 | My attempt at one of Harry-Gregson Williams' cues from Team America.. "There's three types of people in this world..." |
| ochaye2.mp3 | Orchestral, Cover | Finished | December 2004 | My arrangement of one of the cues from Braveheart - extended with some of my own material. Being that James Horner decided to use irish instruments in a film about scots, I decided to go a step further and included a japanese taiko drum as well :) |
| ghey.mp3 | Ghey | Finished | July 2004 | Ghey. |
| amby.mp3 | 80s, Soft Porn | Unfinished | July 2004 | Okay, it wasn't MEANT to sound like 80s soft porn music. It just came out that way. Anyway, doubt I'll ever finish this... I'll probably need to watch some soft porn for some new inspiration. |
| plebby.mp3 | Eurodance | Finished | June 2004 | Happy happy! bouncy bouncy! Um.. done soley using FM7. Plus a patch from my XP30 for the drums. |
| fallingapart.mp3 | Trip-hop? | Finished | June 2004 | Not my composition, but a collaboration effort with some of the forum members at The DVD Forums. Thought it came out quite well, considering. |
| mvc.mp3 | Game, cover | Finished | June 2004 | Captain America's theme from Marvel VS Capcom, arranged for guitar. |
| ally2.mp3 | Flamenco guitar | Finished | May 2004 | Trying my hand at a bit of spanishy guitar. |
| whoopy.mp3 | Spacey, Rock | Unfinished | May 2004 | Not sure what I'm attempting here. Lots of layered guitars going on though. |
| filmythingy.mp3 | Orchestral | Finished | April 2004 | 'Battle scene' music... using my XP30 for the sounds (which aren't the best in the world, but, meh). |
| hurly.mp3 | Orchestral | Finished | Feburary 2004 | Kinda like.. Lord of the Rings. Well, at least, that's what my mate said. Think he needs new ears. |
| balladpants.mp3 | Guitar ballad | Finished | March 2003 | Probably the first recording of my guitar that I thought sounded quite good, production wise. |
| journ-2.mp3 | 80s rock | Finished | December 2002 | Upbeat, rocky tune. I think I was trying to cover a Journey tune (hence the filename), but ended up recording this. |
| zimmer.mp3 | Orchestral | Finished | July 2002 | A mate's idea - write music to a scene. So, this scene was: Bloke comes home, finds dead wife, chases killer. I never decided what happened after that.. so it just sorta.. ends :) Ah well. |
| groovypants.mp3 | Slow, pop | Finished | May 2002 | Reminds me of the music they used to put on during Ceefax :) Drums are a tad loud, though. |
| orch.mp3 | Orchestral | Finished | December 2001 | First thing I wanted to do once I got my full synth/MIDI setup was to do a full blown orchestral thing. This was my first try. |
FT2 tunes
| Title | Style |
DATE | Comments |
| Blerpy | Chip | Feburary 2005 | After deserting FT2 on my old 486 years ago, I recently found a new tracker designed around the same interface as FT2 - Skaletracker. Anyway, I decided to give it another go, if only to see if I could still remember how to use a tracker. |
| Surreal Fascinations | Demostyle, Pop | August 2000 | Became the intro music for a shareware game called Star Prophecy. Unfortunately, the game was never finished :( |
| Plop | Demostyle, Game | March 2000 | Placed 2nd in Groovycompo #35 |
| Brown Pants | Jazz, Pop | March 2000 | Placed 2nd in Groovycompo #34 |
| Atomic Bottom | Demostyle | Feburary 2000 | Placed 4th in Groovycompo #33 |
| Amby | Demostyle, Pop | Not sure | Bit of a mess really, but some parts are ok. |
| Earth To Heaven | Demostyle, Pop | December 1999 | Made this after hearing the music of a fellow tracker - Elwood, a huge influence on my music around this period. |
| Doinky | Pop, Funk | October 1999 | My first attempt at a jazzy pop thing. |
| Epilox | Demostyle | September 1999 | *shrug* Okayish, i guess. |
| Magnolia Minds | Slow Rock, Pop | April 1999 | Nice, but far too long. |
| Dark Angels | Rock, Classical | Feburary 1999 | Tried to do a classical piece with lead 'guitar' doing the melody. Kinda sounds like a crap Queen ripoff at the beginning there :\ |
| It's A Syn To Syne | Demostyle, Rock | November 1998 | My first 'proper' tracked tune. Well, my first finished tracked tune that wasn't just a random series of notes. |
